A credit card will be required to schedule your appointment. No charges will be made until after your service is complete. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment or do not show for the appointment, your card will be charged $100 for a missed consultation or Botox treatment. Most clients with vascular concerns need only one virtual consultation, which typically lasts about 45 minutes. During your appointment, you may receive referrals for diagnostic tests and follow-up care, as well as prescriptions for compression,
lymphatic drainage, and other products.

A 15-minute follow-up phone call is sometimes needed to go over any test results and discuss the management plan for your condition There is no added cost for this call.

Vascular health is a complex medical condition that requires a thorough discussion about your daily symptoms, family history, and medical history. We can do this over a Zoom visit, and we ask that you set aside at least 45 minutes so that we can get to know you. This visit also includes a quick review of anatomy and physiology of our vascular system so that you can understand our recommended diagnostic testing plan and treatment plan.
Yes, we can provide a letter of necessity or insurance appeal letter within one year of your virtual consultation. The cost is $50 per written letter.

We understand your time is valuable and life events happen. Out of respect for our staff and clients, Lumina asks for a minimum 24-hour notice to cancel or change an appointment.

We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of $100 for no-shows and cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment time. This enables us to inform our stand-by clients of any availability and keep our schedule filled, thus providing better service for our established and future clients.

Should you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to provide the planned service. If we cannot accommodate you, a cancellation fee may also be assessed.

Please note that we track all late cancellations and no-shows to ensure our policy is not abused.

Please call or text as soon as possible to change or cancel your appointment.

We appreciate your respect for this policy and look forward to working with you on your healthcare journey.

If you are scheduled to discuss lipedema/lymphedema, please wear shorts and a tank top so that we can see your feet, legs, and arms. If you have a virtual skin care consultation, it is best to not wear make up for an accurate skin care assessment to be made.

No, we do not provide surgical care. As a board-certified vascular medicine provider, Sarah Whitehead’s role is to help you achieve an accurate diagnosis so you can move forward with either surgical or nonsurgical care as needed. After making a diagnosis, she will refer you to providers who can offer whatever services and support you need.

LASER TREATMENTS

For our laser services, we use best-in-class lasers that effectively and non-invasively treat acne, reduce wrinkles, and eliminate age spots, spider veins, port wine stain, and unwanted hair.

We offer treatments with Sciton lasers and the Aerolase Neo Elite Laser. Sciton is the world’s premiere manufacturer of lasers, with devices capable of achieving remarkable results while minimizing discomfort and downtime (See our Services page for more details). The Neo Elite laser is trusted by today’s top skin health professionals. It was awarded best facial laser in Cosmopolitan due to better results and safe settings for all skin.

Treatments vary for each person and condition. Scheduling a virtual consultation will help you get an idea of how long the treatment will take, how many sessions you will need, and what the price will be.

At the heart of Lumina’s philosophy is being subtle and discreet with changes to your skin. We understand that you may be new to the world of cosmetics, and you will take the time to review all aspects of the procedures we offer, including cost, level of discomfort, and potential downtime. In many cases, there may be more than one option to achieve the goals you desire.

Ultimately, we will tailor a program with realistic expectations with corrective procedures to address specific concerns and plans for ongoing maintenance of your results. A consultation with us is the best place to start when you are unsure of what we offer or what may benefit you.

Consultations are always complimentary.

Our goal is to become a lifelong partner with you along your journey of taking care of yourself with non-surgical aesthetic treatments.

The number of laser treatments needed will vary depending on your condition and your goals. Schedule a free virtual or in-person consultation to discuss your condition, the number of sessions needed, and the total cost of treatment.
Schedule a free virtual or in-person consultation to discuss your condition, the number of sessions needed, and the total cost of treatment. Or, if you prefer, at your first treatment session we will develop a care plan together that will include a clear understanding of how many sessions you’ll need to achieve your goals. You won’t be charged a penny unless you are in agreement with that plan.
Most people find that the lasers we use are not painful. That said, each person is unique, and if you find that a treatment is painful, we can stop at any time or adjust the settings. We also provide numbing cream and cold gel packs to help with any discomfort.
Each type of laser treatment requires special management, so pre- and post-care instructions will be provided before your treatment. Avoiding the sun is most important both before and after treatment.

After your consultation, your treatment can be scheduled. You will then receive an email containing all of the before and after care instructions as well as the consent form. Please review these documents as soon as possible to ensure you do not have any condition that would prevent you from proceeding with the planned treatment.
