Meet the Team
Lumina Vascular Health & Laser Clinic was founded by Sarah Whitehead after recognizing a critical need to deliver timely, state-of-the-art vascular care to clients with swollen extremities. Since then, she has expanded her clinical practice to provide non-invasive laser aesthetics and wellness treatments to improve the quality of life for clients with a variety of skin conditions and health concerns.

Sarah Whitehead, MN, ARNP
Founder/Owner
Sarah
Sarah spent 14 years at the University of Washington Medical Center’s Vascular Clinic, where she gained extensive experience evaluating, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans for arterial disease, venous disease, non-healing wounds, and lower-extremity edema including skin changes, venous ulcers, varicose veins, and conditions such as lymphedema and lipedema.
At Lumina, she combines this deep clinical background with best-in-class technologies — including Sciton lasers, Hydrafacial, Aerolase Laser, and neuromodulators/fillers—to deliver results that help clients look, feel, and live better.
As she listened to clients report new concerns — stubborn weight gain, acne, hair changes, anxiety, mood swings, and the classic “I want to punch my partner in the throat” moments — Sarah recognized that peri-menopause and menopause were often at the root of the problem. To address this, she became a certified menopause provider through The Menopause Society (formerly NAMS), offering evidence-based solutions for hormonal, metabolic, and emotional health.
Sarah also focuses on safe and effective medical weight loss as a member of the Obesity Medicine Association, using only FDA-approved prescription medications — never compounded alternatives with unknown quality or increased side effect risks. Her weight management programs emphasize not just the number on the scale, but long-term health benefits like reduced diabetes risk, improved cardiovascular health, decreased inflammation, and renewed confidence.
Whatever vascular, hormonal, weight, or skin concern a client is facing, Sarah provides clear explanations, customized treatment plans, and compassionate care, ensuring every patient feels heard, informed, and empowered to take control of their health and well-being.

Angela, LMT, CMLDT
Licensed Massage Therapist
Angela
Angela has been practicing massage therapy since graduating from Ashmead School of Massage in 2003 and is a certified CTB upper and lower body specialist. CTB, or Coaching the Body, is a therapeutic bodywork approach that uses techniques from traditional Thai massage and neuromuscular therapy to efficiently treat trigger points in muscles and restore normal joint motion, focusing on pain relief and restoring muscle function. With a passion for injury treatment massage, she specializes in trigger point therapy and knows that you don’t always have to go deep to release tension in the muscles.
Angela is also a certified manual lymphatic drainage therapist through Klose and brings a wide range of techniques and ingenuity to each session, tailoring treatments to meet the unique needs of every body. As a passionate advocate for women’s health, she provides therapeutic, full-breast and ribcage massage to enhance lymphatic drainage, release deep tension, and support overall breast health.
From the nurse battling plantar fasciitis from standing all day, to the delivery driver struggling to turn their neck, to those who suffer from swollen stiff joints, Angela understands the different ways pain manifests and is committed to finding the right solution. The best part of her job? Helping someone who walks in limping or numb from pain, leave relaxed, upright, and smiling.
When she’s not helping clients feel their best, Angela can be found volunteering in her local community, practicing with her dance crew, or with her nose in a book.
